First, A Thank You

"I would like to thank my supporter (Mike Mullins) for his write-in vote for me as your Hospital Board Trustee.   And I would like to thank my Campaign Manager (again, Mullins).  And my personal valet / groomer. (Mike M. – luv ya). I would also like to thank my esteemed opponents, um ,.  . one of the Freidrichs or Hunzikers or somebody . ..  and  . Patty Brown. . and, of course . . .I think there was a third guy or gal or an MGMC surgeon or RN  . . Franken (?) .. . for not taking this campaign down the usual trail of mudslinging, and name-calling, and push-polling and "He's Not Black Enough" and etc.  I regret that I will not be able to partake in the micromanag  . ..  er  .. .. oversight of the Hospital's Trust Account or whatever, and what appears to be some delicious pitchers of iced tea and festive plates of cookies or some form of baked good(s) that are served at the televised Board Meetings. Plus free parking on Meeting Day.  Friends, truly this is not the end of the campaign, but just the beginning. Ask not what your Hospital Board of Trustees can do for you, ask what's on sale in the MGMC Gift Shop. I'll see you (Mike) on the campaign trail again!"   The Defeated GJK

Early Warning for December Frozen Foot Run

This has become a tradition for the kick-off of the Frozen Foot Run season.  Come for a social run with the best, pig out on pancakes, and support the Boy Scouts on December 1st.  More info will be forthcoming (like the time), but mark your calendars now! 

A Program Note Concerning Tonight's (Tuesday) Group Run

The natives (Kori and Kirsten) are restless and clamoring for Mexican food and margaritas. Therefore:  A cordial invitation from K & K to all Vardos (and support crew / roadies) to a 6:30 PM Team Vardo convention this evening at El Azteca on Dayton Road.  Come smell a sweaty Vardo, have a plate of quesadillas, a fine beverage, and who knows, you may even get to sit next to a VardoVIP, such as The Other Bill or The Vardo or The Goodman, or The Bishop, or The Janster, or Art d'Barton, etc. etc. etc. Just don't get stuck with The Bill.
