First Up:  A Friendly Reminder From The IRS

The Farm Act created a uniform three year depreciation period for all racehorses regardless of age. This applies to all property placed in service after December 31, 2008 and before January 1, 2014, with an exception for racehorses more than two years of age placed in service after December 31, 2013.
