There They Go (Again)
Our friends Mary, Kori, and Natalie, known in some circles as the Foxy Ladies of Team Vardo, head to the Fox Cities Marathon this weekend in Appleton, WI. Good luck to Mary, also known as Lily (and Mary, Queen of 16th Street), Kori, also known as The Founding Aunt of Team Vardo (and the Duchess of Ferndale), and Natalie, also known as Natalie of the North (and Natalie).

The sound of the early morning geese and the sight of deer peeking out of the corn remind us that the fall hunting season is near. And here's a message to all you hunters like Brother Mullins who kill animals for food: Shame on you. You ought to go to Fareway and buy the meat that was made there, where no animals were harmed.

At last Tuesday's Group Run, there was a request for a re-post of a photo taken of Bishop Sacco in which he strikes a reflective, contemplative, OK, I'll say it, intelligent pose. I can't find it on my computer. If anyone has it, send it to me and we'll get 'er in the next VG.
